Sponsored League kicks offThe NMSA Sponsored League 2012 kicks off soon and entries are currently open until 19 March 2012. The competition will be run on the same format as last year with 12 teams of 6 players each playing all the other teams on selected Friday evenings between 20 April and 28 September. After every round there will be an organised social event. Participants have to pay an entry fee of R250 and permanent reserves pay R100. Unofficial reserves will pay R25 per round played. Players have to be in good standing with NMSA and must be a registered player for 2012 (having paid the once off annual registration fee of R50). More than 100 players participated last year. Quadrangular IPT postponedDue to calendar clashes the Quadrangular Inter Provincial Tournament was rescheduled to 5-6 May 2012. Please send a mail to masters@northerns.co.za if you want to participate in this event that takes place in Welkom. Dave Short IPT tournamentThe ever popular Dave Short tournament takes place in Pietermaritzburg from 8-10 June 2012. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the tournament. Since it is an inter provincial team tournament, entries must be submitted via NMSA. More details about the tournament is available on the concept website at this link.
