The draw for the NSA Satelite which will be taking place at PCC from Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June. Please arrive for matches 20 minutes before the scheduled starting time. Inaugural Uitsig doubles a huge success

The inaugural Utisig Doubles Tournament attracted 36 teams representing 6 clubs in and around Centurion as well as far as CSIR.   With a guaranteed 5 matches and 5 days of action the week ended in grand style with the Men’s final going down to the wire, literally; and being decided via a sudden death point in the 5th game.  The mixed section was also a tight affair going to a 5th game.

Of course the game of the doubles is not the same without the camaraderie and eccentricity of the teams and this fared well with some fantastically dressed teams pitching up on the final day.

Results were as follows:

  • Platinum Winners: Rob Abrams / Blaar Coetzee – Kentron / PHSOB winning 11/10 in the 5th
  • Mixed Winners: Stefan Appelcryn / Anine le Roux – Both CSIR winning in a tight 5 games
  • Gold Winners: Gerhard Fourie / Dana van Zyl – Both Uitsig
  • Silver Winners: Derik Venter / Gerhard vd Schuff – Both Kentron
